At Snider & DiGregorio, we specialize in the purchase and sale of residential homes or commercial properties, and in the remortgaging of properties. You need a lawyer who will protect your interests at every step of way and who will ensure you are kept informed and satisfied. At Snider & DiGregorio we provide outstanding service to our Real Estate clients by acting as your trusted advisor on all matters related to the finalization of your transaction. By completing a series of legal inquiries, title searching and extensive fact checking, we ensure that the transaction is stress-free and closes on time and on budget. At Snider & DiGregorio your transaction will be given personal attention by our lawyers, who are available to our clients throughout the process. Let us make your Real Estate transaction a satisfying and cost effective experience for you!
Wills & Estate Planning:
Who needs a Will? You do! Everyone who owns property or has children/grandchildren or other dependents needs a Will. Without a Will, your wishes may notbe followed, even if known. Instead, your estate will be distributed in accordance with provincial law. Do not let a judge decide important matters like who will care for your children or who will administer your estate. You know what is best for you and your family, so let Snider & DiGregorio help you make a Will that ensures your wishes are carried out.
At Snider & DiGregorio we provide more than just a Will, we provide an Estate Plan. We meet with each of our clients and take the time necessary to ensure you receive a Will that is custom fit for your circumstances. This includes planning for contingent circumstances such as what happens if you become incapacitated. We ensure you have effective Powers of Attorney for Property and for Personal Care to protect you in those circumstances. We also ensure that all your bequests are legally binding, and importantly that all taxes and other expenses are minimized for your Estate.
Some important things to consider when making a Will include:
Who will administer your Estate (the Executor)?
Who will inherit your property and other assets (the Beneficiaries)?
Who will care for your children (the Guardians)?
Who will manage your children’s money (the Trustee)?
A Will is a critical part of any Estate Plan. We can guide you through the process of creating a Will and an Estate Plan that protects you and your family. Let us make this easy for you!
Estate Administration:
The duties and responsibilities of an Executor can be overwhelming. How do you get started? What is probate, and how is it accomplished? We can help. We handle all aspects of an Estate Administration, including applying for a Certificate of Appointment of Estate Trustee (i.e., Probate), interpreting the Will, gathering all financial information and assets, distributing the assets to the beneficiaries, filing all required Estate tax returns, and ensuring the Executor is released from liability for the administration of the Estate. To get started, call us and make a free 30 minute appointment (416-699-0424) during which we will explain the legal process of Estate Administration and provide advice on how to proceed. You should know that legal services provided to an Executor to assist in the administration of an Estate are paid for by the Estate with Estate funds. We have over 30 years of combined experience administering Estates. Let our experience make your role as Executor as easy as possible!
Taxes:
Are you having a dispute with Revenue Canada? Whether you have already been assessed, you are still at the audit stage, or if you have a situation you want to voluntarily disclose to Revenue Canada, we can help. Our tax expert, partner Julie DiGregorio, has over 11 years of tax experience and can provide valuable advice and services to resolve this matter quickly and efficiently. Call us for a free 30 minute consultation to discuss your tax issue and your best options for resolution.
